I'm a born storyteller. Been telling tales since 2nd grade at St. Gemma Elementary in Detroit, when I made up my own version of the Hardy Boys. Narratives filled with colorful characters and real-life stories distinguished my 40+ years in newspapers and magazines, including The Wall Street Journal and Bloomberg Businessweek magazine. Author of five mystery-thriller novels that involve Michigan, small towns, hockey, autism, mothers, sons, and of course, bad people doing bad things to other bad people. Shared in a Pulitzer, nominated for an Edgar, won other stuff, too. Average old-guy hockey player, below-average guitarist, way-below-average golfer. Love travel , especially to see our four grandchildren.
